Materials/Care
What materials are your necklaces made out of?
18k Gold
Our jewelry is heavily plated with 18k gold over a base of stainless steel or sterling silver depending on the design. Gold plating may wear off over time relating to individual factors such as environment, lifestyle, and body PH balance. Please contact support@koemistudio for gold re-plating inquiries.
Sterling Silver
925 Sterling Silver is a lightweight metal made of 92.5% pure silver. It’s highly durable and designed for everyday wear.
Stainless Steel
An alloy of carbon and iron, stainless steel is made up of at least 10.5% chromium and at most 1.2% carbon. Stainless steel jewelry doesn't rust as long as the protective layer of chromium on it is maintained. It also doesn't oxidize like bronze or brass so it won’t change color over time!
Enamel
Some of our designs include intricate enamel which fine particles of glass are applied to metal to add color. Once applied, enamels are heated until they soften and flow into the design layout.

Every Koemi Studio order is hand wrapped by our team in Toronto with a handwritten, personalized note. If you'd like to include a special message or further personalize your order, please contact hello@koemistudio with your order number and we'll make it happen!
